These terms cover the app and website. They are available in English and Spanish and can be saved or printed. They do not remove any mandatory consumer rights. The Privacy Policy explains data processing; it is not a request for blanket consent.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 14 to use quizzas!. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must authorise your use and purchases where legally required. Any higher mandatory local age requirements also apply. The App Store content rating is separate from this account requirement.
An account and an internet connection are needed to play. Use accurate account information, keep credentials secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for your own misuse, but not automatically for every unauthorised act beyond your control. Your network provider may charge for data.
3. The game and fair play
quizzas! offers timed trivia, private rooms, matchmaking, rankings and progression. Casual and ranked matches may include computer-controlled opponents to fill vacant seats. The server determines answer timing and scores. Rankings and virtual rewards are game features, not money or cash prizes.
- Do not cheat, automate answers, exploit vulnerabilities, manipulate ranked results or interfere with the service.
- Do not sell, share or transfer accounts or use another person’s account without authorisation.
- Do not harass, threaten, impersonate others, infringe rights or use unlawful, hateful or abusive display names.
- Do not copy or reverse engineer protected material except where a licence or mandatory law permits it.
4. Player content and moderation
The current public version allows player display names; player-authored quiz packs are not available. You retain rights in content you submit and allow us to host and display it only as needed to provide and moderate the service.
You can report or block a player from their public profile. You can also report unlawful content to hi@quizzas.com, identifying the player/content, where it appears and why you believe it is unlawful. Include enough information to investigate; do not send unnecessary sensitive data.
We may reject or reset a name, remove invalid results or restrict an account for cheating, abuse, security risks or legal requirements. Action should be proportionate to the issue. We will explain material restrictions where permitted and you can request a human review through support. Urgent protective action may come before notice.
5. Purchases and the Seasonal Pass
The game is free to download, with optional in-app purchases. The current paid product is a one-off Seasonal Pass for the current season; it is not an automatically renewing subscription. It unlocks access to that season’s premium reward track, with individual rewards subject to progression and claiming requirements. It does not buy leaderboard points.
Check the product description, season end date and final price, including applicable taxes, before confirming in the store’s purchase sheet. The remaining season may be shorter than a full season. The Pass does not carry over to a later season and unclaimed season rewards expire at the season’s end. These limits do not override statutory remedies for faulty or misdescribed content.
Apple or Google processes the payment under the applicable store terms; the transaction identifies the seller/payment provider. RevenueCat verifies the purchase so we can grant access. Store/device compatibility requirements are shown on the listing. Keep the store receipt and contact support if a verified purchase is not delivered.
Virtual items give you a personal right to use them within the game, subject to their stated duration and these terms. They cannot be sold, transferred or redeemed for cash. Future price changes do not change an already agreed price.
6. Withdrawal and refunds
Where EU/Spanish distance-contract rules apply, consumers generally have 14 calendar days from concluding the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. For paid digital content supplied without a physical medium, this right is lost only once supply begins after your prior express consent to start during that period, your acknowledgement that this loses the right, and the required contract confirmation on a durable medium. An immediate unlock or acceptance of these terms alone does not establish those conditions.
To withdraw, send an unambiguous statement to hi@quizzas.com or the postal address above, identifying the purchase and its date. You may use: “I withdraw from my contract for [product], ordered on [date], transaction reference [reference], name [name], contact address [address], date [date].” Add a signature only if sent on paper. Use before the withdrawal deadline; this wording is optional.
You can also request a refund through Apple’s purchase support or, for a Google Play purchase, Google Play’s refund process. Where withdrawal is valid, reimbursement is due within the statutory period, normally 14 days from notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without fees. Store procedures do not replace mandatory rights or prevent you from contacting us.
7. Digital-content guarantees
You retain the statutory right to conforming digital content and services, including required updates. If content is not supplied or does not match the contract, applicable law may entitle you to supply or correction without charge and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or termination and refund. Those rights are separate from change-of-mind withdrawal and can remain after its deadline.
Report a problem to hi@quizzas.com with the product and transaction reference. Nothing here excludes mandatory guarantees or remedies under Spain’s consumer legislation or other applicable law.
8. Changes and availability
We may maintain and update the service for security, compatibility, legal compliance, bug fixes and game balance. For changes beyond those needed to maintain conformity, a valid reason, clear information and no additional charge are required where digital-service consumer rules apply.
If a change adversely affects your access or use more than slightly, we will give reasonable advance notice on a durable medium, such as email, explaining the change and your rights. Where Spanish law applies, you may terminate without charge within 30 calendar days of the notice or the change, whichever is later, unless we let you keep a conforming unchanged version without extra cost.
Outages can occur, but they do not remove statutory rights. If the service is discontinued, we will provide reasonable notice and honour applicable rights concerning remaining paid access and refunds.
9. Intellectual property
Our code, branding, artwork and other protected material belong to us or their respective owners. You may use the app for personal entertainment. Open-source and openly licensed components and content keep their own licence terms and attributions, available where indicated in the app; these terms do not override those licences.
For an App Store download, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the licence supplied through Apple, subject to mandatory consumer law.
10. Closing an account
You can stop using the service and delete your account through Profile → Delete Account, or use the web deletion instructions. This removes game progress and access to entitlements attached to that account. Recreating an account does not restore the deleted account or its consumable Pass.
We may suspend or terminate for material or repeated breaches, urgent security needs or a legal duty, subject to the moderation and review process above. Neither account closure nor deletion cancels statutory refund rights or other mandatory claims. Deletion alone is not a refund request.
11. Responsibility
Each party is responsible under applicable law for its own conduct. We do not exclude liability or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights, intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence or personal injury where applicable. There is no blanket “as is” exclusion or automatic forfeiture of consumer remedies.
12. Complaints and applicable law
Send complaints to hi@quizzas.com or the postal address above. We will provide a complaint reference and acknowledgement on a durable medium and respond as soon as possible, within 15 days of receiving the complaint under Spanish consumer law. If unresolved, we will provide information on the relevant accredited alternative dispute-resolution body and whether we will participate where legally required.
You can seek help from your local consumer office (OMIC), the competent regional consumer authority, or consult the European Commission’s list of dispute-resolution bodies. Listing these options does not claim membership of an arbitration scheme or require you to arbitrate.
Spanish law governs these terms. Consumers retain any mandatory protection of the law of their habitual residence and access to the courts available under applicable jurisdiction rules, including their home courts where provided by law. There is no exclusive requirement to sue in our home city.
13. Updates to these terms
We will date revisions and give appropriate advance notice of material changes. Changes do not apply retroactively to remove accrued rights or change agreed purchases. Where express agreement is required, continued play alone does not supply it. If a clause cannot lawfully be enforced, mandatory law applies and the remainder continues only so far as legally valid.
